@demoniclordwizard
I threw some normal store bought flour tortilla’s on the grill and they puffed too. So I think Roti’s and Tortilla’s are two similar solutions to finding a tasty-but simple bread.

I’m Kenyan and back home we make chapati too. It’s very excellent with re-fried salted beans. The next day if there’s leftover chapati, we’ll have it with black tea. So delicious!

@Manjulaskitchen
awesome, thank you!
Both of those seem valid to me since my dough is not very smooth, and I have been using a lot of flour to stop them from sticking to everything (I’m only just learning to cook)

@seaningtime
knead the dough more, dough should be very smooth and when you are rolling roti do not use too much dry flour just use enough to help you rolling.

I’m trying to make these right now, but mine never puff up like yours do?? The bubbles form (but not as big as the ones in your video) but if I press on them it doesn’t make it puff up and if I leave it than it will burn… Any helpful ideas??

@smckee113
It is a good idea to lightly coat the skillet with oil just before you do the first roti.
